Heber Springs is one of The Natural State's most popular locations for vacation and recreation. Heber Springs is located on a 40,000 acre crystal clear playground with a climate that is comfortable year round, known as Greers Ferry Lake.

Greers Ferry Lake is nestled in the foothills of the scenic Ozark Mountains. This clean, clear lake has been stocked with almost every known game fish native to the state by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. Hybrid bass, the most recently added species, are now reaching excellent size. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service operates a trout hatchery below the dam on the and stocks the lake and river. Rainbow and German Brown Trout inhabit the river naturally.

The fun never ends in the area around Greers Ferry Lake. Heber Springs greatest asset is its natural surroundings and numerous campgrounds. Many hiking trails are available. Sugar Loaf Nature Trail, on an island in the lake, has received many awards for scenic beauty. Greers Ferry Lake offers hiking, camping, boating, and outstanding fishing opportunities.

Walk to the lake, sun on the beach, walk through the natural surroundings, fish on the river or lake, have dinner at the Red Apple Inn (5 minutes away), or simply view the wonderful surroundings from the screened-in porch. This place has it all. Deer and turkey are frequent visitors.

Cliffs House Retreat is located in a popular social cove on Greers Ferry Lake, inside the city limits of Heber Springs. It is a four bedroom two bath house that can sleep 10 . The Cliffs House Retreat also has amenties including a pool table, air hockey table, dart board and an outdoor hot tub! The gentle walk to the lake is complemented by a calm cove located off of the main body of Greers Ferry Lake. Within swimming distance is an island known as the "Cliffs." It is a very popular gathering spot and is minutes from all of your favorite shopping and eating establishments.
